Reengineering Surgical Patient Transfer and Handover Process in Operating Room

Objective: To reform the transfer process of surgical patients, standardize process, and improve quality safe transfer; unify intrahospital to achieve standardized management; ensure patient safety, work efficiency, reduce occurrence adverse events. Methods: A team was formed, a handover record sheet for patients designed, workflow specifications were formulated. Results: After using re-designed improving procedure transferring accuracy ensured, time shortened, turnover rate improved. Conclusion: By designing reforming service model, it is possible change transfer, operating room management system so that more rational humanized, working environment, as well overall efficiency nursing.
